In a news release Oct. 17, Sitka Police Department said a man wearing body armor had made threats while in a medical facility parking lot on Oct. 11. He had been dissuaded from carrying out any threats and had returned to his home. When police contacted him there they found he was in possession of a firearm, ammunition and a tactical vest.
