The second Sitka Classic Pinball Tournament drew more than 30 players to the Coliseum Theater Saturday, along with dozens of spectators to watch the high-level competition.
Players faced off on 29 tables, and earned points based on how well they fared on each table. The top three scorers earned small cash prizes.

“I was really happy with how the tournament went,” said Logan Bradford, who organized the tournament. “People were happy, there was a lot of cool upsets; there was a five-year-old who beat some of the top players.”
Bradford was not only tournament director, but a competitor as well, which isn’t unusual in pinball tournament play. The competition was sanctioned by the International Flipper Pinball Association, which qualified players to earn points toward an international ranking.

Bradford noted the superlative performance of Quinn Bennett, the 5-year-old who placed 23rd in the tournament; and Rach Roach, who reached eighth place but dropped out to make room for another competitor.
Bradford said he was pleased to see so many returning players from the last tournament, including Ryan Barwick, who notably improved his play, jumping from eighth last year to fourth this year.
