.
Markets will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on six alternating Saturdays starting in late June (June 28, July 12, 26, Aug. 9, 23, and Sept. 6) at the ANB Founders Hall.
Howey and Brincefield will host a pre-market meeting for potential market vendors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, at the See House behind St. Peter’s By The Sea Episcopal Church. They will be available to answer questions and to make suggestions that will help new and returning vendors adjust to any food regulation changes from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, changes to the Alaska Quest electronic benefits program, and any other changes.
UAS to Host
Music in Movies
The Sitka Summer Music Festival will hold its Music in Movies events 7:30 p.m. June 10, 17 and 24 in Room 229 on the UAS-Sitka Campus.
The June 10 movie will be ‘‘Thirty-Two Short Films about Glenn Gould.’’ The award-winning film is a series of short films about the legendary pianist. The segments range in length from one to six minutes. In this surprisingly satisfying film we see both dramatic and documentary impressions of Gould’s complex persona. The film has an 89 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and has received four Genie Awards and the Best Canadian Feature Film award at the Toronto International Film Festival in 1991. It also inspired a Simpson’s episode, “22 Short Films about Springfield.”
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. The University will provide free popcorn. Attendees should arrive at least 15 minutes before the movies to get their popcorn.

The competition starts at 9 a.m. Registration can be completed in person at the clubhouse or by phone. Singles and beginner golfers are welcome.
