Contra Dance
Set Saturday
A contra dance is planned Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Larkspur.
Chairs will be moved out at 7:30 p.m. and the music will begin shortly after.
Clinic Hours Told
SEARHC outpatient clinics will be closed on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Thursday, Jan. 1, so SEARHC employees can spend time with their families during the holidays.
The Outpatient Clinic at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital will remain open during regular business hours on those days.
As always, SEARHC will have staff working during the holidays to take care of any inpatients staying at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka, and there will be 24-hour emergency room staff available at the hospital during the holidays.
Clinics will be open as usual the day after Christmas, Friday, Dec. 26, and the day following New Year’s Day, Friday, Jan. 2.
ANB to Meet
The Alaska Native Brotherhood, Camp 1, will meet 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22 at the ANB Founders Hall.
The group encourages ANB members to attend. Call Harriet Beleal with questions at 738-3470.
Unitarians Meet
The Sitka Unitarian Fellowship will hold its Christmas/solstice party 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at the Sitka Unitarian Fellowship Hall.
No 10:30 a.m. service will be held. A potluck meal will be followed by Christmas caroling and a “Chinese auction” gift exchange. To participate, participants should take a wrapped present for each member of the family, labeled for an adult or a child.
The Fellowship Hall is located at 408 Marine Street, with parking behind off Spruce Street. For more information, call 747-0520 or 747-5776.
International
Residents Invited
“Sojourners,” a free Christmas dinner for international residents (immigrants) is 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Sitka United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 303 Kimsham Street. The phone number is 747-8775.
Sitka Aerial Silks
Performance Listed
A masquerade ball with aerial silks and hammock performance is planned Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Bayview Pub and Restaurant. Tickets go on sale at 9 p.m. on Dec. 20 and the show starts at 9:30 p.m.
The event is a fundraiser for the Hames Center aerial silks program. Check out www.hamescenter.org for more information.
