Caramel Apple
Sale Saturday
The Blatchley Middle School jazz band will hold a caramel apple fundraiser 9 a.m. until sold out on Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Wells Fargo Bank lobby.
Choose milk or dark chocolate over homemade caramel apples with peppermint, butter toffee, mini M&Ms or pecans.
Apples are $10 each. Proceeds benefit the BMS Jazz band and music departments.

Restorative Yoga
Class Set Nov. 28
Lisa Sadleir-Hart will teach a restorative yoga class at Yoga Union 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Thanksgiving
Dinner at ANB
The Alaska Native Brotherhood, Camp 1, and Alaska Native Sisterhood, Camp 4, invite all to the community Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 26 at the ANB Founders Hall. Doors open at 1 p.m. and dinner is at 2 p.m.
Those with a turkey, or wishing to donate a dessert, salad or Native food item can drop it off through the ANS kitchen door between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, or starting 7 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. Beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, those who would like to volunteer to set up, food prep, or help with decorating the hall at 2 p.m., are welcome.
Any who are home or work bound, call 752-0654, between 2 and 4:30 p.m. to have a dinner delivered Thanksgiving Day.
‘‘The generosity of many donors has made this dinner possible, and for that the ANB and ANS are grateful to them to host the community of Sitka, gathering for a Thanksgiving dinner,’’ organizers said.

Winners Told
The winners of the Betty Eliason Child Care Center National Children’s Day drawing are: Sue Doyle $1,000; Mary Magnuson $250; Nikki Martens $150; and Karen Iwamoto $100.
BECCC expressed its appreciation to those who purchased tickets to raise money for playground improvements.
Chamber Plans
Annual Meeting
Sitka Chamber will hold its annual membership meeting and luncheon noon Wednesday at Westmark Sitka.
Executive Director Rachel Roy will present the year in review, Season’s End donation presentation, and annual membership meeting and board elections.
The meeting is open to the public.
Call Given for
Toys for Tots
A work party to prepare boxes and promotional signs for the Marine Corps League’s Toys for Tots campaign will be 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at the Gil Truitt Activity Center on the Mt. Edgecumbe High School campus.
Marines and others are asked to take boxes that can be decorated and distributed to local businesses and schools.
Volunteers need not be active members of the Marine Corps League to participate. Those wanting further information can contact MCL Commandant Nels Lawson at 7470-6903 or Bernie Gurule at 966-3202.
Sweatsgiving Set
At Hames Center
The Hames Center will host its guilt-free Thanksgiving Day Sweatsgiving Workout event 9-10 a.m. Nov. 26.
The one-hour workout alternates between spinning and total body conditioning.
