Timothy D. Gillette
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Timothy D. Gillette on Jan. 12, 2025. He was born June 11, 1972. His sense of humor and free spirit will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held in Sitka at a later date. The Department of Fish and Game called a co-op opening today to catch the 1,000 tons remaining in the Sitka Sound sac roe herring fishery. This year’s quota is 11,192 tons, with 51 permit holders taking part.
