Rebecca Tonkin, a Sitka resident for 10 years, died Feb. 1, 2013, in Tucson at the age of 43.
Services are scheduled 7 p.m. Feb. 7 at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church in Tucson.
Rebecca was born Aug. 28, 1969, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Gail and David Williams. When she was 2 the family moved to Tucson, where she lived until about 1996, when she and her husband came to Sitka. She was a waitress at Victoria’s restaurant, and she greatly enjoyed Sitka and her friends here.
Her health worsened, however, and in 2006 she returned to Tucson to be closer to family.
She is survived by her parents, Gail and David Williams, 4849 E. 12th St., Tucson, AZ 85711; her sister, Rosalind Greene and two nephews, of Tucson; and her former husband, Todd Tonkin, of Texas.
