In 2001, Brian retired and family moved to Grants Pass.
Brian was an avid hunter, fisherman and, most recently, enjoyed restoring classic cars.
He was a member of the Oregon Hunters Association, Josephine County Sportsman Association, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Donations in his name can be made to the Oregon Hunter’s Association,  OHA Office, P.O. Box 1706, Medford, OR 97501.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eudora Crider, and a dear friend, William Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Ann Crider, daughter Kimberley Paige Crider, and grandchild, Kam Parker Crider, all of Grants Pass; his sister and brother-in-law, Dawnetta and Ken Strong, and their children Stacey and Cade, all of Snoquamish, Wash.; and numerous close friends considered family.

Thanks to the generosity and expertise of the the Central Council of Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska broadband department, Tidal Network ; Christopher Cropley, director of Tidal Network; and Luke Johnson, Tidal Network technician, SitkaSentinel.com is again being updated. Tidal Network has been working tirelessly to install Starlink satellite equipment for city and other critical institutions, including the Sentinel, following the sudden breakage of GCI's fiberoptic cable on August 29, which left most of Sitka without internet or phone connections. CCTHITA's public-spirited response to the emergency is inspiring.
