DYP Week Thanks
Dear Editor: Blatchley Middle School would like to extend heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the community members of Sitka who made our Discover Your Potential (DYP) week such a successful and exciting week for students. DYP provides students the opportunity to engage in courses that they normally do not have in the school setting and encourages students to explore their interests and talents. This year we had courses ranging from SCUBA to Filipino Cooking; Hunter’s Education to Nail Art; Becoming a Barber to Tlingit Beading. The opportunities were abundant, and we have our community to thank!
DYP would not have been possible without the generous funding from Sitka Tribe of Alaska and Sitka CHAR. Additionally, the following community partners dedicated their valuable time, knowledge, and resources – thank you!
