JKT for State Rep
Dear Editor: I will be casting my vote tomorrow for Jonathan Kreiss -Tomkins for state representative.
I am eager to vote for Jonathan because he takes time to understand the nuance and complexity of a wide variety of issues. He works diligently to create pragmatic solutions. He is approachable and genuinely interested in engaging with his constituents.
On the national political scene, divisive “us versus them” politics has our country back-sliding. It is clear to me that society only advances when we elect people who approach governance with humility, cooperation, and compromise.
Jonathan has demonstrated these qualities as he has worked successfully to create and take part in a bipartisan House majority coalition. It makes me proud to see that Alaskans are bucking the divisive national trend and working cooperatively with those of opposing parties to reach common goals.
I am tremendously proud to see our local JKT is an emerging leader of this group. I will be voting to keep him on the job.

Leadership for S.E.
Dear Editor: I write to encourage supporters of Dr. Richard Wein for the State House seat for District 35 to go vote. Richard is a wonderful, compassionate person who just happens to be very intelligent while still being down to earth and in touch with a wide variety of people.
I think he is amazing to transition from surgeon to the Assembly, where he has often been the lone voice of opposition. There are two sides to most issues! Richard would be a new voice for Southeast in Juneau. He showed at the forums that he is not afraid to take a stand.

Wein for District 35
Dear Editor: From what I have seen JKT is just another career politician. That formula does not improve with age. Dr. Wein is a man with vast life experience in the real world helping real people with life’s most difficult issues. He has taken huge personal risks to do so. His agenda is not about building a political career.
