Sitka to Mark Veterans Day

By Sentinel Staff
Veterans Day in Sitka will be observed Monday with a parade and a reception at the American Legion hall.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. from Crescent Harbor to Totem Square. A reception for veterans, families and supporters will follow at the American Legion Post 13, 205 Lincoln Street.
“It’ll be finger food, and good conversation,” said Post Commander George House.
House, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1979 to 1983, said he is looking for a few more flag carriers for the parade. Those interested may call him at 747-5969.
