Gene Prewitt Dies in Seattle

Gene Prewitt, who has been a Sitka resident since 1952, died Dec. 24 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. He was 80.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bellevue, Wash., with burial to be in Scottsdale, Ariz., at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Gene was owner of Island Bus Co., Sitka Tours and Prewitt Funeral Home.
An obituary will be printed next week, his family said.
