Patrick Moore Dies at 58 At His Sitka Home

Patrick Kerman Moore, 58, passed away after the course of a prolonged illness on September 23, 2021, at his home in Sitka.

He was born May 23, 1963, in Ketchikan, the son of Patrick George Moore and Elizabeth Francis Kristovich. He was known to all as “Mister.”

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Patrick George Moore, and grandparents, Luther David Moore and Bertha Marie Anderson and Nikolas David Kristovich and Elizabeth Eva Dangeli.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Francis Kristovich of Washington and children Tonya Candice (Alan) Dumville of Maine, and Patrick James Moore and Christopher Thomas Moore of Sitka. His siblings Helene (John) Ennor, Katrina (Tracy) Bennett, and Ronald (Stacy) Moore of Washington, Joan M. Dangeli (Jason Howard) of New Mexico, and Candis Moore of Anchorage, and his long-time friend Janice Johnson-Azzam also  survive.

Other survivors are grandchildren Rodney K. and Damien G. Brevick, Allana R. Dumville and Silas D. Moore; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jonathan Krebs, Sitka Economic Development Association director, said today he’s resigning to take a job in Ottumwa, Iowa. Krebs, who also is manager of the Sawmill Cove Industrial Park, has held the SEDA post for five years.

Gerry Helland of Sitka has been selected by the coaches to referee at the Alaska State High School Basketball Championships in Anchorage this weekend. Sitka and Wrangell are representing Southeast at the tourney.
