Carolyn Anne Lowrance

Carolyn Anne Lowrance of Burlington, Washington, died at Birchview Memory Care on June 29, 2023, at the age of 71.

Born in 1951 to William and Frances (Mason) Knight in Bellingham, Washington, she spent her formative years in Ketchikan before settling in Sitka, where she married and started a family.

In the early 2000s, she relocated to Burlington, continuing her career in hospital dictation transcription and medical records at Skagit Valley Hospital, until her early retirement.

Carolyn’s love and zeal ran deep for her god Jehovah and His worldwide congregation. She loved to garden, bake, paint “happy little trees,” and spread joy with her wholehearted laughter. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted mother to Chad and Brian. Her love for them was front and center at all times.

She will be remembered by her two sons, Chad (Cassandra) Lowrance and Brian Lowrance of Washington; her two older siblings, Patricia Lowrance of Arizona, and Benjamin Knight of California; six nieces and nephews, and many more loving relatives.

No funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to www.skagitadultdayprogram.org in her honor. Condolences and memories of Carolyn can be shared with her family online at www.kernfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, Washington.
