Kenny was born June 22, 1936, in Tillamook, Oregon, the son of George and Lena Proctor. When he first came to Alaska he worked in logging camps. He is survived by his daughter, Teri Gregg, of Safford, and four sons, Dennis and Dawnelle Proctor of Beaumont, Texas, Roger and Debra Proctor of Camas, Washington, Chip and Sally Proctor of Hoodsport, Washington, and Richard Proctor of Sitka.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. March 1 the Safford Church of Christ, where he was a member. Additional memorial services will take place in Pendleton and Tillamook, Oregon, in July.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the National Rifle Association.
