With three more positive tests added to the dashboard Friday and Saturday, Sitka went from “low” back up to “moderate” risk today.

The 14-day rolling case rate was at .57, and the current active case number was at 5.

The latest positive tests were for:

- an asymptomatic woman, age 30-39, tested Jan. 28, with results on Jan. 29. The transmission classification was community spread.

- a symptomatic man, 30-39, tested Jan. 27, results Jan. 30, community spread.

- a symptomatic man, 20-29, tested Jan. 29, results Jan. 30, secondary.

No positive tests were reported on Sunday. The cumulative resident case total is 282, with 32 nonresidents. Of the 314 total cumulative cases, 310 are “recovered.” The cumulative hospitalizations is five. The city dashboard is updated around 5 p.m. daily.

Guidelines for moderate risk say face masks are encouraged in indoor public spaces. Six-foot distancing is recommended, and gatherings of fewer than 100 and outdoor events are encouraged. For restaurants, employees are encouraged to wear masks, indoor capacity is reduced, and carryout and delivery are preferred. For bars, employees are encouraged to wear masks and indoor capacity is limited to 50 percent.
