With four new positive COVID tests in as many days added to the dashboard last week, Sitka’s rolling case average ticked up slightly but remained on “low.”
The current active case count has gone to four, with the 14-day rolling average at .29.
The four positive test results were returned Feb. 17-20, and were the first following nine straight days of no cases.
The results were for tests taken Feb. 10 through Feb. 18 by residents. They were for an asymptomatic man, age 50-59, tested Feb. 15, “community spread”; an asymptomatic man, age 30-39, tested Feb. 17, “community spread”; an asymptomatic woman, 30-39, tested Feb. 18, “secondary”; and a symptomatic man, 70-79, tested Feb. 10, “secondary,” who is isolating outside Sitka. The others are isolating here.
Sitka’s cumulative resident total is 290, with 32 nonresidents. Of the 322 cumulative total cases, 318 are listed as “recovered.” In all, 48,683 tests have been performed, with results received for all but 54. Of the 324 total cumulative positive results, 299 are unique positive results. A total of 48,305 tests were negative, the dashboard says.
