The city’s dashboard showed one new positive COVID-19 test result on Tuesday, but the local risk level remains at “low.”
The positive case is a male resident, age 60-69, who was tested October 8 and received the result October 13. He is asymptomatic and isolating. The “transmission classification” is listed as “community spread.”
It was the first positive test result since September 30.
The number of cases in two weeks remains at 2, and Sitka’s 14-day average rolling case rate is .14 cases per day. The cumulative number of cases for Sitka is 54 residents, and 18 nonresidents.
The city dashboard shows a “low,” or “yellow” alert level. The school district is on “green,” which also is a “low” risk level.
