Technology Open
House at School
The Sitka School District technology committee will host an open house for the community 5-6:30 p.m. April 24 at Blatchley Middle School.
Included will be games, cookies and prizes for all who visit the stations. The event introduces online etiquette, law, communication, health/ wellness and security, and sharing educational apps and public library access items.
The event is on the same night as the Welcome to BMS fifth grade parent meeting and people can attend both.

BMS Yearbook
Blatchley Middle School yearbooks can be purchased before April 19 at https://bmsyearbook.picaboo.com/. The cost is $20 for softcover and $30 for hardcover.
TAP Offered
TAP certification classes are scheduled 11 a.m. April 14 and May 19 at the Sitka Moose Lodge, upstairs.
Retesting begins at 10:30 a.m. Valid identification is needed. For information call 738-4666.
Boathouse Work
Party Saturday
The first work party of the season at the Japonski Island Boathouse will be 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 13. All skill levels are welcome. Those who have buckets are asked to take them. Snacks and coffee will provided.
The group will focus on preparing the inside of the east wing for its first exhibit. It will include washing and rinsing surfaces and clearing the space.

Easter Sale at
White E Shop
Beginning Saturday, all Easter items at the White Elephant Shop will be half price. All books, excluding the Alaska section, are $1 a bag.
Store hours are noon-3 p.m. Saturdays and Thursdays, and 6-8 p.m. Mondays.

Bazaar Saturday
The U.S. Coast Guard Spouses’ and Women’s Association of Sitka invites the public to its annual Rainy Day Bazaar 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Centennial Hall.
Admission price is $1. Bunny photos, at $5 each, will be taken 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The silent auction is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. A 50/50 raffle also will be featured.
