Easter Bread,
Baked Sales Set
The St. Michael the Archangel parish will have Easter bread and baked  goods on sale at the cathedral entry at noon on both Saturday, April 16, and Saturday, April 23.
Both days follow church services, and go until sold out. It happens quickly, organizers said.
‘‘Everyone is invited to come and see why our Easter bread  has been a favorite tradition in Sitka since the 1800s,’’ organizers said.

‘The Lorax’
Film to Show
Transition Sitka will offer a free Zoom screening of Dr. Seuss’s ‘‘The Lorax’’ 6:30 p.m. April 22.
The 1952 animated film is child-friendly and still pertinent to adults, organizers said. Registration is open at https://tinyurl.com/transitionsitka. It will be followed by discussion.

Sanctuary Exhibit
Closure April 22
The last day for the public to see the Sheldon Jackson Museum’s current Solo Show, ‘‘Sanctuary,’’ will be Friday, April 22.
The second Solo Show Exhibition in the museum’s Alaska Native Solo Show Exhibition Series ‘‘Sanctuary,’’ is an exhibition of masks and painted works on wood and canvas by Allie High (Tsimshian, Haida, Alutiiq).
The museum is currently open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and is closed holidays. People may call the museum to confirm hours. Winter admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and free for ages 18 and under and active duty military and their families (with an ID). People with questions about the exhibition may contact the museum directly at (907) 747-8981.

The schedule for Holy Week and Easter services at St. Peter’s by-the-Sea have been scheduled.
April 13: noon on Zoom and 5:30 p.m. in person.
April 14: Maundy Thursday, noon on Zoom;
April 15: Good Friday, noon in person.
April 16: Holy Saturday, 9:30 a.m. on Zoom.
April 17: Easter Sunday, 6 a.m. on Zoom and 10 a.m. in the church and on Zoom.
