Meal Distribution

The Sitka School District is refining its meal distribution system and is asking the community for its patience.

Those who have questions, or want to sign up for meals, cam call 966-1249 or email lunch@sitkaschools.org.

 

 

Ventures Program

Remains Closed

The Ventures after-school program will remain closed through at least the end of the school year.

‘‘The Sitka School District will follow current and forthcoming governmental health mandates to ensure the safety of all students and families,’’ the program said in a press release. ‘‘We apologize for any confusion that may have occurred.’’

Those who have questions or concerns can contact the district office at 966-8622.

 

 

On Honor Roll

 Jesse S. Lantiegne, a junior in business administration, has been named to the winter honor roll at Oregon State University, Corvallis.

Lantiegne earned at least a 3.5 grade point average and carried at least 12 graded hours of course work for the semester.

 

 UAS Virtual

Art Show Set

The University of Alaska Southeast Northwest Coast arts program will have a virtual student work showcase online beginning 6 p.m. April 17 on the UAS Facebook event page.

In partnership with Sealaska Heritage Institute, UAS will offer a new associate of arts degree with an emphasis in Northwest Coast arts this Fall. For information on upcoming classes,  visit: uas.alaska.edu/schedule/.

Scholarships also are available for Alaskan Native students to take Northwest Coast art courses. For applications and more information about Northwest Coast Art courses, contact Davina Cole, drcole3@alaska.edu.
