Food Distribution

Slated for Saturday

Alaska Native Brotherhood Camp 1 and Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 4, in collaboration with ACC’s USDA Food Box Program, will hand out boxes of vegetables and dairy products to families in need 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the ANB Founders Hall/BIHA parking lot.

Youth Advocates

Meet Aug. 25

Youth Advocates of Sitka will hold a board meeting  6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, via Zoom.

Nonprofits Invited

To Apply for Grants

The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, for non-profit organizations to apply for annual grant funding from the City and Borough of Sitka General Fund.

Applications can be obtained from the municipal administrator’s office, at City Hall, or online at www.cityofsitka.com.

A total of $50,000 is available for disbursement. Due to concerns related to COVID-19, applications are to be emailed to the renee.wheat@cityofsitka.org. Applications received after the time fixed for receipt will not be considered. Applications will be awarded at a special meeting of the Assembly in September.
