The Recall Dunleavy organizers will have petitions available to sign 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, 408 Marine Street.
Parking is available on Spruce Street. The event is an opportunity to sign the recall petition and learn more about the recall process.

Dies at Age 93
Agnes S. Sawyer, 93, died Aug. 4 at SEARHC-Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital.

Memorial Service

Elizabeth Teal, 92
A memorial service for Elizabeth Teal, 92, will be held 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Church.
Mrs. Teal died July 7 in Sitka.
In lieu of flowers, please write a letter to an inmate.
Nora Arries, 81,
To be Remembered
Nora Arries, 81, who died Nov. 11, 2018, will have her remains laid to rest 11 a.m. Aug. 9 at the Sitka National Cemetery. St. Gregory’s Catholic Church will preside.
Those who knew Nora are welcome and encouraged to attend and share a memory. Afterwards, her family will release several balloons in her memory at Sandy Beach and celebrate her life at one of Sitka’s eateries.

Johnstone Honored
The Friends of Sitka Public Library invites the public to a reception honoring library champion Alice Johnstone 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Sitka Public Library.
Hors d’oeuvres, cake, and fruit will be served. All are welcome.
Tot’s Gym Set
Tot’s Gym at the Hames Center has returned and will be offered 9-10:30 a.m. Mondays and Fridays.
The event offers a play space and toys for families with children ages 0-5. Tot’s Gym is free for Hames members or $5 for the family.

Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 4 will meet 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the ANB Founders Hall.
