CG Medevacs Klawock Man

A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopter on Sunday medevacked a 41-year-old Klawock man with a gunshot wound near his left kidney. 

The Coast Guard said the call came in at 11:56 p.m. Saturday, the helicopter took off at 12:43 a.m. Sunday, and returned to Sitka with the patient at 3:05 a.m. He was taken to Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center.

No information was available on how the injury occurred, the Coast Guard said.
