At Library Friday
Sitka Public Library’s meet-and-greet with library director candidate Amy Schofield has been rescheduled because of flight delays due to weather.
The event now will be 3-4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13.
‘‘Please join us to help introduce her to Sitka, ask questions in an informal setting, and enjoy some refreshments on us,’’ the library said.

No Teen Nights
Due to unforeseen circumstances and the holidays, Teen Nights at Hames Center are canceled beginning Dec. 13 until after the new year. The exact restart date will be announced.
Teens are being encouraged to visit the Cloud Teen Center during this break.
Kaagwaantaan
Meets Dec. 15
Sitka Kaagwaantaan will meet 3 p.m. Dec. 15 at Blatchley Middle School in Room 114, to practice the Yeikootee Spirit Dance that will be used in the naming ceremony on Dec. 21.

New Pastor at
Adventist Church
The Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1613 Halibut Point Road, welcomes new pastor, Brian Wilson.
Wilson, of Burlington, Washington, has served in Thailand and Laos as a missionary for more than 20 years.
All are invited to attend to hear him preach his first sermon 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.
Roadless Rule
Wrap-Up Set
All are invited to celebrate the end of the Roadless Rule comment period with Sitka Conservation Society 7 p.m. Dec. 17 downstairs at the Mean Queen.

Sitka Public Library will feature ‘‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’’ (1965) 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.
The movie is 25 minutes long, TV-G rated, and it is best for ages 5 and older.

Sitka Citizens Climate Lobby will hold its monthly meeting 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the See House behind St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Lincoln Street.
