Sitka Public Library is offering free ‘‘make-it, take-it’’ kits to those 10 years and older this month while supplies last.
Participants can take home two different types of DIY paper projects to work on: paper mandalas ornaments and paper Christmas trees. Kits can be picked up at the circulation desk during library hours.

Sitka Monthly Grind producers are planning the January Happy New Year Grind to release Jan. 22. Submissions are being sought for the virtual event and are needed by Jan. 8.
No specific theme has been named for this family friendly, non-political event.
