UAS Sitka Start

Slated for Spring 

University of Alaska’s Sitka Start has nine slots left in the spring semester for a personalized support program.

It includes tuition waivers and a $250 stipend, as well as networking and mentorship opportunities with a cohort of peers. 

‘‘Whether this is your first semester, you’re transferring from another school, or you’re starting again, Sitka Start at UAS can help you succeed in furthering your education,’’ UAS said.

Donations Sought

The Sitka Carbon Offset Fund uses donated contributions to reduce Sitka’s carbon footprint.

‘‘As you take stock of this past year, remember to offset your carbon footprint from road, marine and air travel,’’ the group said.
