Pick.Click.Give Supports

Sitka, State Nonprofits

As the year comes to a close, many Alaskans plan to file for their Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend. Residents can support a variety of local and state nonprofits through Pick.Click.Give, which is part of the filing process.

The PFD application period opens on Saturday, Jan. 1, and people have until midnight on Thursday, March 31, to submit applications. Applications can be filed online at http://pfd.alaska.gov.

In 2009, the state launched the charitable donations program to support Alaska-based nonprofits with donations in $25 increments from the PFD. In 2022, there are 23 nonprofits that do work in Sitka and 634 statewide participating in the program.

In 2021, Alaskans gave $3.04 million through the Pick.Click.Give. program, with nearly $100,000 of that supporting Sitka nonprofits.

Learn more about the Pick.Click.Give. program and participating nonprofits at http://www.pickclickgive.org.

This year, the 23 Sitka participating nonprofits are: 3 to 5 Preschool, Alaska Association for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Alaska State Firefighters Association, Brave Heart Volunteers, Catholic Community Service Inc.
