Driver in Court

Calan Putman, 24, of Juneau, was arraigned Wednesday on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and reckless endangerment and a felony charge of criminal mischief in the third degree. He paid $750 bail and was released.

The charges stemmed from a traffic accident early Wednesday morning on Katlian Street, in which a pickup Putman was driving struck stairs and a porch on a house and an SUV parked at  229 Katlian. Three passengers, two men and a woman, were taken to the hospital with apparently minor injuries.
