Driver Injured In Traffic Accident

A 41-year-old driver was taken to the hospital this morning after his pickup veered off the road into a ditch in the 2200 block of Halibut Point Road.

Police said the man apparently was having medical issues when the accident occurred, shortly before 8 a.m. He was taken to Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center, and his 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck, which sustained front end damage, was towed away. 

The driver was outbound at the time of the crash, police said.
