Sought for GOTR
The Pathways Coalition is again sponsoring Girls on the Run and is seeking participants and coaches.
This 14th year of the after-school program inspires girls in third- through fifth-grade to be ‘‘joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates physical activity,’’ the organization said.
Participants and coaches are needed to spend the 14th season of the program ‘‘exploring valuable lessons such as practicing empathy, inclusion, and acceptance, all while training for a 5K community fun run,’’ the Pathways Coalition said.
Participants can register by Feb. 13 at tinyurl.com/GOTR23 or pick up a paper registration form at the Keet Gooshi Heen front office.

On Honor Roll
Erin Blankenship was named to the Mississippi State University, Starkville, fall president’s list.
Students on the list achieved a 3.80 or better grade-point average, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of course work with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.
The 2019 Sitka High graduate is the daughter of Eric and Jenny Blankenship.
On Dean’s List
Grace Harang of Sitka was named to the Utah Tech University, St. George, fall semester dean’s list. Inclusion requires students to complete a minimum of 15 credits and achieve a GPA of 3.5 to 3.89.
The 2021 Sitka High graduate is the daughter of Trevor and Tracie Harang.

Talking Circle Set
For Grief, Healing
A grief and healing talking circle will be offered 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Sitka Tribe of Alaska headquarters, 204 Siginaka Way.
Snacks will be provided.

‘Save the Trollers’
Fundraiser Feb. 5
A benefit dinner and dessert auction to ‘‘Save the Trollers’’ will be held 5 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Sitka Elks Lodge.
The fish and chips dinner is $19.
