SCLT to Meet

Sitka Community Land Trust will meet 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, on Zoom. The public is encouraged to attend.

The SCLT is a non-profit organization that relies on community support and participation. For information about joining by Zoom, contact Mim McConnell at 738-2888. 

 

Garage Sale Set

For Youth Group

St. Gregory’s Catholic Church will hold a garage sale 8-11 a.m. Feb. 26 and noon until sold out on Feb. 27.On Sunday, the group will be selling a Nathen’s hot dog, chips and a bottle of water for $5.

Proceeds will be used for the church’s youth group to travel to World Youth Day in 2023.

Parking will be available in the lower level of the church on the Crescent Harbor side.

Organizers said some of the treasures will be marked and others are by donation.

 

Emblem Club

Meets Feb. 10

Sitka Emblem Club members will hold a social meeting 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Elks Lodge.

Past presidents will be honored.

 

STA Offers

Energy Assist

Sitka Tribe of Alaska has CSBG Emergency Assistance for Enrolled Tribal Citizens once per year. The funding is $500 and can be used only for basic needs such as housing, heating, utilities, food or clothing. Eligibility is dependent on household size and income. Sitka residents are eligible to apply.
