Northern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association will hold its spring board of directors meeting 9 a.m.-5 p.m. March 1-2 at the NSRAA office or online at nsraa.org.
The meeting is open to the public in the conference room, 1308 Sawmill Creek Road. Copies of the agenda will be available at the NSRAA office or online at nsraa.org. Call 907-747-6850 with questions.
School Board
At ANB Hall
The Sitka School District School Board will hold its regular meeting 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the ANB Founders Hall.
The meeting will be preceded by student/staff recognitions at 5:45 p.m.

School Board Sets
Special Meeting
The Sitka School District School Board will hold a special meeting including executive session 6 p.m. March 2 at the district office boardroom.
The board will interview interim superintendent candidates Steve Bradshaw and Helen Cheek in open session, followed by an executive session for deliberation and the selection of an interim superintendent. Questions may be directed to the district office at 907-747-8622.

Screen Films
In Oscar Series
The Sitka Film Society and Coliseum Theater will present the 2023 Oscars Film Festival through March 2 at the Coliseum.
Five short documentary nominees will be screened as follows:
Short Docs Part 1 (three films) 5 p.m. tonight:
1. ‘‘How Do You Measure a Year?’’ – USA, 29 min.2. ‘‘The Elephant Whisperers’’ – India, 40 min. 3. ‘‘Stranger at the Gate’’ – USA, 19 min.
Short Docs, Part 2 (two films) – 5 p.m. Thursday, March 2:
4. ‘‘Haulout’’ – UK, 25 min. 5. ‘‘The Martha Mitchell Effect’’ – USA, 40 min.
Tickets are $10 at Old Harbor Books and the door. Those with questions may call Old Harbor Books.
ATA to Meet
In Sitka Feb. 28
Alaska Trollers Association will meet 1 p.m. Feb. 28 at Centennial Hall in Room 1.
Amy Daugherty, executive director of ATA, will attend.
The group will discuss the Wild Fish Conservancy lawsuit update and the Pacific Salmon Treaty.
