Panel to Meet
The Sitka Tribe of Alaska’s Natural Resource Committee will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the Resource Protection Department offices at 429 Katlian Street.

Woman’s Club
Meets Feb. 9
Sitka Woman’s Club will meet at noon Saturday, Feb. 9, at the home of Larry Calvin, 214 Neva Street.

Baranof Benefit
At Pizza Express
Pizza Express will host a benefit for Baranof Elementary School 4:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12.
Those who eat at the restaurant, order food to go, or have food delivered will be supporting the school. The restaurant will donate a portion of the sales to classroom and school activities. Call 966-2428 to have food delivered.
‘Sitka Tells Tales’
Event Feb. 28
Sitka Tells Tales, the local live storytelling series, will return 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Fisheye Cafe. The theme of the stories is “Don’t Tell My Mother: Stories of Risk, Rebellion and Repercussion.”

Girls on the Run
Coaches Sought
Girls on the Run is looking for coaches for its Keet Gooshi Heen program.
Coaches act as role models who empower girls through an interactive curriculum which creatively integrates running, organizers said. Teams meet after school 2:40-4:15 p.m. either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
