Little League Sets
Dinner, Auction
Sitka Little League end-of-season awards dinner and dessert auction will be 5 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at the Sitka Elks Lodge.
A burger bar, at $16 per person, will be followed by a dessert auction.
End-of-season awards will be handed out for baseball divisions Minors and up.
Events held at the Elks Lodge are for members and invited guests.
Cancer Survivors
Celebration Listed
The Sitka Cancer Survivor Society is planning a celebration event 1 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the Path of Hope Park.
‘‘We are inviting all those interested in joining us to walk through the Path of Hope park,’’ the group said. ‘‘Celebrating with cancer survivors and their families and friends.’’
Attendees can meet board members, and learn what the group does, how it got started, and how it supports those dealing with cancer.
Refreshments will be served by the Sitka Emblem Club 142. A treasure hunt is planned with prizes for those who find the hidden treasures.
