Police Blotter
Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:
June 4
At 2:50 p.m. a citizen assist call on Andrews Street was logged.
At 3:12 p.m. a caller reported trespassing at Sealing Cove.
Criminal mischief was reported at the Kimsham ball fields.
An animal problem was reported on Donna Drive at 5:30 p.m.
At 9:18 p.m. a caller reported harassment at Lake and Lincoln streets.
At 10:24 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 5000 block of HPR.
A traffic accident was reported at 11:27 p.m. at 2875 HPR.
June 5
Agency assists were reported at the hospital at 1:47 a.m. and 2:18 a.m.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 10:02 a.m., 11:06 a.m., 11:53 a.m., 2:11 p.m., 7:10 p.m. and 8:07 p.m. Thursday, and 1:06 a.m. today.
Car Crashes
A driver was taken to Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center following a traffic accident late Thursday night at 2875 HPR.
Sitka Fire Department was called at 11:27 p.m. and dispatched an engine and ambulance in response. Police said the driver, who was the only one in the older model sedan, hit a parked vehicle while outbound and went onto an embankment on the water side of the road. The driver’s injuries appeared minor, police said.
