Electric Vehicle
Count in Process
The electric vehicle group wants to get a count of the number of EVs in Sitka.
‘‘There are likely at least 80 EVs in Sitka, and we are trying to get a more accurate estimate of this number,’’ said Dave Nicholls, a member of the group.
EV owners are asked to e-mail Dave at soundsofalaska@yahoo.com to be counted. If possible, indicate the age of the vehicle and other information that may be of interest, Nicholls said.
The group is not collecting any personal information, simply wanting a count of EVs in Sitka, Nicholls said.
Sitka is one of the leading communities world-wide for electric vehicle ownership, at close to 1 EV per 100 residents, he said.
