SOS to Meet

Sitka Outreach and Support (SOS): Lifeline Group will meet via Zoom 2-3 p.m. Thursday, March 25.

The collaborative community addresses the needs of people experiencing poverty and/or homelessness.

Graduates Get Call

The University of Alaska Southeast Sitka Campus will celebrate its 2021 graduates with a virtual commencement ceremony 5 p.m. April 30.

Additionally, graduates should keep an eye out for a care package courtesy of the Sitka Campus as the big day approaches, the university said.

Students preparing to graduate should contact Emy Roles at aroles@alaska.edu or call 747-7721 for information on how to participate in the  ceremony.

Meet Canceled

The March 22 Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 4 meeting has been canceled so members may attend the funeral of its sister, Doris Bailey.

 

Chowder, Fried

Bread Sale Set

The Sisterhood of St. Michael’s Cathedral will hold a chowder and fried bread sale at the entrance to the Cathedral 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 20.

The sale will be curbside delivery of the lunch, or just fried bread. Donations of ingredients may be made by calling 738-4166.
