Rotary Seeks
Students For
Brief Exchange
Rotary Youth Exchange Program offers short-term exchanges for Alaskans, ages 14-19, who want to spend three to four weeks abroad during the summer. Under the program, teens will be matched with a student of the same gender in a country of preference.
The exchangees will  spend time together, half of the time abroad and the other half in Alaska. Typical visitations are three to four weeks each way. It will be up to the families to pick a good time. Usually Alaskan students fly to their host family (vetted by Rotary), and bring their host sibling back with them to complete the exchange.
The cost is the price of the plane ticket, $400 for administrative fees, and $150 for insurance, if needed. Those interested may call 738-0602.
Students apply online and the link to the program website is: http://www.rye5010.org.
