The annual Giving Tree at Wells Fargo Bank Lobby will be set up Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
All are invited to stop by and pick a tag for a Sitka child, youth or elder in need of a gift this Christmas season.
‘‘Share with those in Sitka who are away from home, homeless, alone and in need,’’ organizers said. ‘‘Your generosity is so appreciated.’’
Unwrapped gifts are to be returned to Wells Fargo Bank with the tag attached. The Giving Tee is sponsored by the United Methodist Church of Sitka. Call Julia Smith at 738-6336 with questions.
Woman’s New
Moon Event Set
A New Moon Gathering will be held in Sitka 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. “Passion, Poetry, Possibilities and Peace’’ is the theme.
All are invited to take original or other favorite poetry to read. Silent meditation and guided breathing practices will be included in the evening. No experience with meditation is necessary. The event is free; however, donations are accepted.
