Ocean Wave

Quilters Meet

Ocean Wave Quilters will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at United Methodist Church.

Janine Holzman will present “2 Sides to Every Story: All About Backs.”

Monthly meetings, September through June, are open to all, members or not. Those wishing to pay the $25 dues receive a monthly newsletter, discounts on classes and other benefits.

Moose Lodge Hosts

Robing Ceremony

Sitka Moose Lodge will host the state Pilgrim Degree Robing Ceremony for Derrell Stuart 3 p.m. Nov. 5 at the lodge.

Pilgrims from throughout the state will attend the ceremony. Women should wear casual business attire or degree regalia, caps and gowns. Men  should wear their legion vest and fellow jackets.

Dinner will follow the ceremony upstairs at the lodge. Members are being encouraged to attend and support the event. Those with questions can call Faith at 752-0306.

 

Bingocize Activity

Offered Fridays

All are invited to attend Bingocize in person 1-2 p.m. Fridays until Dec. 16 at the ANB Founders Hall

No activity will be held on Nov. 25.

Bingocize combines the fun and prizes of Bingo with low-impact exercises that are designed to reduce fall risk, organizers said. It is sponsored by Center for Community, SAIL, SEARHC, the State of Alaska and Brave Heart Volunteers.
