BIHA to Meet

Baranof Island Housing Authority board of commissioners will meet  5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, via Zoom.

Blood Drive

Event Canceled

The Blood Bank of Alaska’s tentative plan for a blood drive in October has been canceled.

Recovery Walk

Set for Saturday

The annual Recovery Walk will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, beginning at Centennial Hall.

The socially distanced and masked gathering is open to everyone ‘‘wanting to celebrate all who’ve chosen a path of recovery, to acknowledge all who inspire us, and remember those who led the way,’’ organizers said.

Limited free T-shirts will be given.

The National Recovery Month event is sponsored by Sitkans Against family Violence, Sitka Counseling, Sitka Health Summit, SEARHC, and Sitka Tribe of Alaska.
