Sitka High School has announced the list of students selected for the Southeast Honor Music Festival, set for October 23-25 in Haines.
They are, for Choir:
Soprano II - Quinton Newsome, Melody Peacocke
Alto 1 - Emily Blackmon, Haley Silva
Alto II - Rita Christianson
Tenor II - Josh Gluth
Bass II - Felix Myers
For Band:
Flute - Theo Everson (first chair), Jasmine Wolfe, Kat Rhoads
Clarinet - Jessica Delacruz, Julia Nabua
Alto Saxophone - Tyler Adres
Tenor Saxophone - Jason Young, alternate
Baritone Saxophone - Klayeah Lozada, alternate
Trumpet - Justin Hames (first chair), Kanen Alley, Everett Overturf (alternate)
Trombone - Angelo Elefante, Anna Prussian, Calder Prussian, Olivia Skan
SHS Music Director Andrew Hames said Sitka High also submitted audition recordings for five students to state choir, and four for state band. Three recordings were also submitted for All Northwest band and three for All Northwest choir.
