Sitka added three more cases to its dashboard over the weekend, but the risk level for COVID-19 transmission stayed in the “moderate” range.
A number of cases dropped off the dashboard at the same time new cases were added, leaving the 14-day rolling average at .57 cases per day.
The two cases added Friday were for tests on April 8, returned April 9: a 10-19 symptomatic female, from “secondary” transmission; and an asymptomatic man in his 70s, “community spread.” Sunday’s positive test result was for a symptomatic woman in her 60s tested April 9, and listed in the “travel” category.
The last eight testing positive are residents, and two of them were asymptomatic. The dashboard lists seven “current active cases” in Sitka.
Sitka currently has 65.55 percent of its population (4,543) listed as “partially vaccinated”; and 58.72 percent (4,070) “fully vaccinated.”
