Sitka has a new COVID-19 positive test result, the Sitka Unified Command announced today.
The confirmed case is a man, age 40-49, a resident who received testing out of state on June 30, Unified Command said. He is symptomatic and is isolating.
The Unified Command reports the current statistics:
– 13 Sitka cumulative cases
– 6 nonresident cases
– 1 cumulative hospitalization
– 11 cases recovered.
Sitka Unified Command representatives said they received word from public health officials on the new test result Wednesday, and sent out the press release today.
Public Health Officials have initiated contact investigations and will notify and isolate additional persons who may have been in contact with these individuals, as appropriate, Unified Command said.
