The two latest positive COVID-19 test results announced this week bring Sitka’s cumulative tally to 14, Unified Command said today.

“Sitka’s positive test count is now at 14 resident cases and seven non-resident cases,” a press release said. “The State of Alaska is reporting 1,226 cumulative cases statewide.”

The Unified Command lists 16 cases as “recovered.”

(Test results announced Wednesday and today by Unified Command were for a 30- to 39-year-old female Alaska resident, and a 50- to 59-year-old nonresident man, tested on July 7.)

“Public Health Officials have initiated contact investigations and will notify and isolate additional persons that may have been in contact with this individual as appropriate,” the Unified Command news release said.

Other statistics are available on this page, and at the Department of Health and Social Services website.
