Sitka’s COVID-19 updated dashboard today listed a drop in active cases and a decline in the community’s rolling average case rate.
Sitka remained at a “moderate” (orange) alert level, with a 14-day rolling case rate average of .57 per day.
The number of local active COVID cases is five, according to the dashboard that was updated Monday evening.
No new positive test results for COVID have been reported since September 30, and all contact tracing for recent cases are listed as “completed.” The school district currently lists eight resident cases over the past two weeks.
Sitka’s cumulative case count is 53 residents and 18 nonresidents; with 2 cumulative hospitalizations, and five current active cases.
The dashboard includes demographics of patients who have received recent test results, the source of each positive test result, whether the patients are symptomatic or asymptomatic and the status of contact tracing. It also lists recommended precautions associated with each risk level, for the community, Sitka School District and Mt. Edgecumbe High School.
