SUV Rolls Over

A 42-year-old driver was taken to the hospital to be checked for injuries Sunday afternoon after his 2014 Forester Subaru overturned in the 1400 block of Halibut Point Road

Police said the vehicle was on its side when officers arrived, and the driver, the only occupant, had crawled out. After being evaluated at the hospital, he was released. 

Preliminary investigation indicates the SUV was traveling inbound above the speed limit when it left the roadway, ran into a stand of trees and rolled over, police said.

Police said the vehicle’s speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.The investigation is continuing.
