Three women were arrested Tuesday night on drug charges, Sitka Police said today.
Jennifer Lounsbury, 42, of Everett Washington, was charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third and fourth degrees; Sheena Vaughn, 38, was charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second and fifth degrees; and Charline Skultka, 25, was charged with misconduct in the fifth degree.
Police seized about 18 grams of methamphetamine, with a street value of about $1,800; about 852 blue pills presumed to be fentanyl; and drug paraphernalia including scales and baggies.
The arrests came after police executed a search warrant at 203 Brady Street, Vaughn’s home.
Skultka, charged with possession, was released on her own recognizance.
Lounsbury and Vaughn were arraigned this afternoon.
Lounsbury, along with the class B felony charge of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance or possessing any amount with intent to manufacture or deliver, was charged with the class C felony of having been convicted within the past preceding 10 years of other drug misconduct charges.
She currently has a warrant for her arrest out of Washington for failure to appear for a 2021 case, where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin), burglary in the second degree and theft in the third degree.
She also has two convictions in Washington related to controlled substances within the past 10 years, felony convictions in 2014 and 2015 of having a controlled substance without a prescription.
At the time of her Sitka arrest, police said, she had the meth, blue pills and $956 in cash – indications of drug distribution.
In arresting Vaughn, police said, they found 838 blue pills, 43 small “dime bags” used to package narcotics for individual sales; 1 gram of meth; and some loose pills, also indicative of distribution.
