Invasive Plants

Topic of Talks

The Tongass National Forest is in the early stages of developing an invasive plant management plan for the northern units on the forest including Admiralty National Monument, and Hoonah, Juneau, Sitka and Yakutat Ranger Districts.

Project coordinators will be meeting in five communities within the units to talk about the invasive plants in each area, as well as possible treatments.

In Sitka, the open house will be 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Centennial Hall.
